April 11, 2011- New Stuff!
Hello all! I've just added a new piece to my Gallery Section and a couple of pieces to my Illustration Work section. Check 'em out!

I just uploaded some new work into the illustration work section and the other work section, including three big multiple illustration jobs, and some holiday card designs from this year and a couple of years back.

Hey there, art fans! I've just added new artwork to my Illustration and Gallery Art sections. This includes my very first international illustration for the UK magazine Mother and Baby Magazine. I've got a few big projects up and coming, and some more personal work that I'll be scanning soon and will be uploading even MORE cuteness soon!
Events in September.
I hope you are having a radical summer!
My work will be featured at a couple of exhibitions in Toronto this September.
The first is a group show at the Leslie Jones on Queen St. East. It's title Post No Bills 2, and is themed around movie posters. There is a line up of really talented artists in this show, not to mention the great food and atmosphere at the Leslie Jones. The opening night is Sunday, September 12, 2010. Check out the website for more information
The second is the Queen West Art Crawl, happening the weekend of September 18 and 19. This is a huge outdoor art exhibition in Trinity Bellwoods park off of Queen St West. This is a great opportunity for your dog and children to see my work and enjoy some fresh air. Don't forget your pocket book, as there is tons to see and, from past experience, you may want to head home with a souvenir. The find out more information you can check out their site as well.
On a side note, I've posted the cover art that I did for this month's Broken Pencil magazine. It's all about D.I.Y. If you want to pick up a copy for yourself it's available at most Indigos and Chapters and definitely at specialized magazine shops. Will be posting some new illustrations as soon as they're published!

I've added a couple new pieces to my illustration portfolio and my gallery portfolio. You'll find it's a bit random right now- I'm adding old and new stuff. I am going to re-think my portfolio organization to make it easier for you to browse.

Welcome to the new digital home of Claire Manning Illustrations!
People say that the third time's a charm, and I am certainly hoping this is true for me. It's a rather large departure from my retired sites, but I will be able to update at a rate of more than once a year, and hopefully you will find it to be easier to maneuver around to find what you'd like to see. I will update the news when I update my work on my site, but if you'd like to read more of my artistic adventures you should check out my blog, Claire Loves... There is a link to it right under my name. See? Already everything is at your fingertips!
